Product Details
Campfire Stories is a rich anthology that celebrates the spirit of our national parks through the timeless tradition of storytelling. Featuring voices like John Muir, Bill Bryson, and Terry Tempest Williams alongside pioneer journals and Indigenous oral histories, this collection captures the deep, diverse connections people have with these iconic landscapes.
Co-editors Dave and Ilyssa Kyu spent six months on the road, gathering tales from libraries, museums, historical archives, and the wisdom of park rangers, curators, and local communities. The result is a beautifully woven tapestry of adventure, reflection, and reverence—an invitation to see our parks not just as places, but as stories waiting to be shared.
