Reformulated in 2026, Mars captures the wild, otherworldly spirit of the red planet in a rich, resinous incense. Frankincense and dragon’s blood smolder alongside dark Bing cherry, warm amber, and spicy nutmeg, conjuring the heat of a molten core and a landscape of ancient red dust. Vanillic oakwood brings a deep, woody warmth, while ozone, mineral dust, and earthy musk leave a dry, atmospheric trail that feels both ancient and strangely futuristic. Bold, smoky, and unapologetically otherworldly, Mars is made for those drawn to the darker side of scent.

And here's a detail worth savoring: every incense cone is hand-formed by Blackbird's skilled team in the likeness of Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the solar system. A little piece of Mars, made by hand.

Crafted with natural bamboo charcoal, botanical extracts, essential oils, absolutes, and isolates, each cone burns for approximately 20 minutes, leaving its scent lingering for 2–4 hours in a medium-sized room. The travel-friendly capsule holds approximately 26 cones. Reusable and/or recyclable packaging makes it easy to keep this small ritual close at hand.

The 2026 reformulation stays true to the original while building on the richer resin materials introduced in 2016. Dark Bing cherry, deeper dusty musks, and more complex resin notes bring new depth to the blend, balancing something ancient with something distinctly modern. We accept returns for a full refund within 14 days of delivery on online purchases—excluding FINAL SALE items, which are not eligible for return or exchange. Returned goods must be unworn and in new condition, free of stains, odors, or any other condition that would prevent the item from being sold as new. Products must be returned in their original packaging—we’re unable to accept products sent back in damaged or taped packaging. Items not in sellable condition will be refused or returned to the sender without a refund.
